Rotarian Josh Parslow introduced guest speaker, Bill Gasbarre, of Gasbarre Products, Inc., located in DuBois. Gasbarre Products, founded in 1973 by Bill’s father, George P. Gasbarre, Sr., was originally located in Falls Creek to service only the P/M industry locally.
In early 1981, a new building was built and they relocated to DuBois. Their first 663 ton press was shipped to Pennsylvania Pressed Metals in 1974 and PPM became a very good customer in the mid-to-late 1970s. The multi-action press lines were driven by PA Pressed Metals’ aggressive growth plans requiring the need to get heavily into multi-action/multi-level parts that their competitors could not make.
