Rotarian, Steve Straub, introduced his guest speaker, Pat Walker at the Emporium Rotary luncheon meeting June 2nd.
Pat told his heartbreaking story of his journey and numerous health issues he has endured since his diabetes diagnosis at age 10. Over 200,000 million people have died in the last 10 years all over the world from this debilitating disease.
Along with many surgeries and health issues related to the disease, Pat has also lost both his legs to the disease and it has destroyed his inner core. Currently, Pat walks with titanium prosthetic legs, and suffers daily with constant pain.
