Rotarian, Georgiann Holly introduced speaker, Steve Appleby, Director of the Eldred World War II Museum, at the Rotary luncheon meeting June 23rd.
Mr. Appleby grew up in Eldred, and since second grade was fascinated with WWII after reading a book about the Battle of the Bulge. He spent 27 years as a soldier and afterwards he moved back to Eldred and is now the Director of the WWII museum, his dream job. He gave a dynamite presentation regarding WWII and had on display many artifacts and information on World War II.
