Second Grade Visits Andrews Farm

The second grade students of Woodland elementary recently visited the Andrews farm. Cameron County Outdoor Youth Activities (CCOYA) coordinated the event that included fishing, learning about ways everyone can help prevent water pollution and facts about honey bees. They also learned facts about Whitetail deer.

Each student had the opportunity to fish the freshly stocked pond with the help of a mentor from the sixth grade class and CCOYA volunteers.
