Second Street Water Withdrawal Operation To End
A water withdrawal operation near the intersection of Second and Maple streets in the Borough of Emporium has ended for the time being, according to Borough Manager Don Reed.
Reed stated that Keystone Clearwater Solutions of Hershey had signed a 60-day contract with the borough for water withdrawal from a location on Caldwell Corporation property along the Driftwood Branch of the Sinnemahoning Creek. Negotiations also included the EQT company, which has a number of drilling operations currently under construction within the area.
