Senior Girls Drop Three In Little League Softball

The Cameron County Little League Senior girls faced a solid Shinglehouse team last Wednesday, succumbing to the mercy rule after five innings, 20-3.
Emporium jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, but could never get any rhythm going offensively for the remainder of the game. Kaitlyn Burgett (2 for 4, two singles) led off the game with a base hit, advanced to third after two walks, then scored on a passed ball. Kiersten Weichman had the only other hit for Emporium.
