St. Mark Community Day Care Awarded Keystone STAR 3 Designation
St. Mark Community Day Care Center was recently awarded Keystone STAR 3 designation. The STARS program is administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services.
To qualify for the Keystone STAR program, standards must be met for teacher qualifications, classroom and learning activities, working with families, and program management. Teachers used the PA Early Learning Standards to develop curriculum and learning activities. The higher the STAR level, the higher the quality of the program.
The program also has independent evaluations of the classroom set-up and learning activities.
