State, County Umemployment Rates Drop
The unemployment rate in Cameron County and the rest of the state continues to drop according to the most recent numbers released by the state’s Department of Labor and Industry.
The seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate in Cameron County for the month of April was recorded as 7.9%, down from 11.6% in April 2013. The rate has dipped by several percentage points this year, from 9.4% in January.
