Struggles Of Rural Areas Highlight Toomey Visit

United States Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA) visited Emporium on Tuesday as part of his tour of the region.
Toomey met with a number of community leaders at the Cameron County Courthouse to discuss issues affecting individuals living in the area.
One of the most pressing topics that was touched on numerous times is the problem facing rural Pennsylvania communities trying to fund services mandated by the state and federal government in addition to maintaining necessary services and keeping infrastructure intact.
